What are the different types of liquid packaging machines?
There are numerous types of liquid packaging machines (or liquid filling machines), and they can be classified based on different criteria as follows:
1. According to the form of packaging containers
Bottle-based liquid equipment: mainly used for filling water, juice, shampoo, medicine, etc. into glass bottles or plastic bottles, usually including bottle filling machines, bottle cleaning machines, cap-lacing machines and labeling machines, etc.
Bag-based liquid equipment: used for filling liquids into flexible bags liquid packaging machines. Common types include vertical forming filling sealing machines (VFFS), horizontal forming filling sealing machines and multi-channel packaging machines, which are mostly used for soups, sauces, dairy products, etc.
Tube-based liquid equipment: specifically used for precisely filling liquids into tub-shaped containers, commonly found in toothpaste, lotion, cosmetics, glue, etc. for personal care and pharmaceutical products.
Other container equipment: also includes box-filling machines for paper box packaging, as well as large-capacity canning and barrel filling machines for edible oil, chemicals, cleaning agents, etc.
2. According to the filling principle
Constant pressure filling machine: fills the liquid under atmospheric pressure using the self-weight of the liquid, divided into timed and volume-controlled types, suitable for low-viscosity liquids without gas (such as milk, wine, etc.).
Pressure filling machine: fills the liquid under a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure liquid packaging machines, divided into isobaric filling and high-pressure filling, mainly suitable for liquids containing gas (such as beer, soda, champagne, etc.).
Vacuum filling machine: fills the liquid under a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure inside the bottle, with a simple structure and wide adaptability to the viscosity of the material, suitable for oils, syrups, fruit wines, etc.
3. According to the degree of automation
Fully automatic liquid packaging machine: controlled by PLC program, achieving continuous and high-speed automation filling, suitable for large-scale production lines.
Semi-automatic liquid packaging machine: requires manual assistance (such as pedal control), with adjustable filling volume and speed liquid packaging machines, suitable for small-scale production or experimental environments.
4. According to the type of filling materials
Diluted liquid filling machine: used for filling relatively dilute liquids, such as mineral water, medicine, cleaning solution, etc.
Thick liquid filling machine: used for filling high-concentration or high-viscosity liquids, such as juice beverages, sauces, hair care products, etc.
Oil filling machine: specifically used for filling various oil products, such as edible oil, lubricating oil, etc.
Note: In practical applications, liquid packaging machines (emphasizing the overall packaging process liquid packaging machines, such as bag-making, filling, sealing) and liquid filling machines (emphasizing the quantitative filling stage) have a certain conceptual distinction, but they have a high degree of overlap in classification and usage.
